    Autool SDT 206 Smoke Machine

Thanks for your insight. I get the smaller molecule thing. but for the drive way mechanic an impractical procedure. Even with a lift and standing under the car, seeing tiny bubbles on top the gas tank would seem to be difficult. However, I can see this saving time in a busy shop.

My bad. I didn't realize it was that old. The thread came up on a web search. No hurry and Merry Christmas.

`I have the same C0455 code in a 2007 trail blazer. Could you please send me the diagnostic tree for this code? I would like to be sure the part is bad before spending $100 I can't get back. Thx and regards Chester

    Reading oil dipstick

Ya get what you pay for. I recently changed oil on a Ford Fusion. I have always used AC Delco oil filters. The filter that came off was from a quick change joint. Look at the picture and tell me which filter you would pick for your car.

    Control Module DTC

I'm reasonably sure it was never used for that. All she had was a dash alert; tire pressure monitor fault.

    Control Module DTC

It did have a TPMS code. I did a relearn on all the TPMS's which turned off the dash alert. Didn't think about the two codes being related. It's my kid's car and I can rescan the next time she's here. Thx for the 411.

    Spark Plug Removal Aluminum Heads

Hey Nick I see you're in Canada. We drove to Niagara Falls, Ont. a couple of years ago. Great trip. However, my on star did not work in Canada. I have a 2013 Cad XTS. The on star has a 3G system. When Canada went to 4G, they no longer supported 3G. What did GM do for all the Canadians...

    Spark Plug Removal Aluminum Heads

There's an extraction tool that makes taking off the heads unnecessary? I have never had the privilege of working on one of these. but have given it a lot of thought. My first thought was to use Zmax penetrating oil. If it seeps into the threads like it seeps into that block of steel on the...

Hey Ed. I just noticed you listed a 3.5l engine. I'm sorry, I thought we were talking 3.1 l. My bad. Please disregard my posts as they all relate to a 3.1l. Again my apology. TTFN

It also takes a PF47 AC Delco filter. PF 47E will work as well.

    Reading oil dipstick

FYI, just in case, it takes 4.5 qts. May I suggest filling with 4 qts, cycle the engine and check where you're at. Should be half way up the hash marks or be at the second hole. Cheers

Dan is right. Full is at the top of the hashes. And add is at the bottom of the hashes. Consider each hole as 1/4 qt.
