need owner's manual for '05 Ford Taurus

You know the motor is bad so I would just replace it. More than likely your feed is OK. If not we'll figure that out after pump motor replacement.

need owner's manual for '05 Ford Taurus

Several other things powered through that fuse like the cluster, mirror, compass etc. If you're not having other problems it's likely the motor is toast.

2001 Ford Explorer Sport Trac A/C Compressor making Noise

Normally if the bearing is bad it'll get much worse when AC is on and will change in noise level as the compressor cycles. If it were a dragging clutch it would be quiet when applied. I think maybe it's alternator or water pump but who knows. I guess we'll find out.

2001 Ford Explorer Sport Trac A/C Compressor making Noise

Not going to be the compressor or the clutch since they are both inoperative when the AC is off. Still remove the belt and see if the noise goes away.

    swap 4.3 to 4.8, v8.?

I don't think you want to attempt this project unless you have a donor vehicle. Even then it's a tough build but can be done.

HELP!! Trouble diagnosing acceleration stumble, 96, FORD, E350 van, 5.8, EFI EEC-IV, E4OD

They are hogs, but you should get a little better mpg than that. I don't think you would gain much if it were sequential. Think about it. If the intake valves are closed it's but for a very short period of time and the fuel doesn't burn but it does start to vaporize. When the valve starts to...

HELP!! Trouble diagnosing acceleration stumble, 96, FORD, E350 van, 5.8, EFI EEC-IV, E4OD

The injectors are fired one bank then the other. There is no sequential firing it's simultaneous.

Self installed dash indicator light burns out often

Correct...When in parallel, which is how you have them, resistance goes down and current goes up. If the resistors are of equal value it's one half total resistance.

Self installed dash indicator light burns out often

Something you can do if you want it brighter is to add another 150 ohm resistor in parallel (both side by side) this would make the total resistance 75 ohms. If they are one followed by the other (this is in series) they add together for total resistance which would be 300 ohms. Do you have the...

Self installed dash indicator light burns out often

You'll want a 1/2 watt 120 ohm resistor. The resistor will absorb about 3/10 of a watt so a half watt will work fine.

00 Ford mustang abs gt traction problem

So long as you do a load test of the bus line. Load it with a 4 amp headlight. Check that you have a bright light on both wires. Only load them for a few seconds. If the bus circuit is OK I would say you are good to have it rebuilt. A loaded circuit test will reveal things that a simple ohms...

Self installed dash indicator light burns out often

OK this is the formula. P=IxV and I=E/R ....P=watts....I=amps (current).....V=voltage......R=resistance in ohms.....We know we have 12 volts and the circuit is 1/10 amp. Use these to figure resistance. This would be TOTAL resistance without adding a resistor and we are at about 120 ohms (12/120)...

00 Ford mustang abs gt traction problem

Let's step back for a moment. Are you saying the system only works right when the abs is enabled? With the abs not working the brakes are like a conventional system.

Self installed dash indicator light burns out often

Shouldn't be a problem. A 1 watt resistor is all you should need and they don't get hot enough to do anything.

00 Ford mustang abs gt traction problem

There's a diagnostic to find that problem. I assume you have a dvom and know how to use it. I'm pretty sure I can find the info for troubleshooting the system if you are interested in pursuing that. If you could not connect to either module you probably have an issue with the wiring for the...

Can you scan the ABS module? Should be coding if it's problematic.

    1970 Ford Mustang Overheating

I would second that. Did the engine have pinging sounds when you turned it off? If so, that would confirm a stuck closed thermostat. Those pings are boiling coolant exploding inside the block and or cylinder heads. It would also confirm you have to little antifreeze to water ratio.

Self installed dash indicator light burns out often

That would be my approach to this. I would think a low ohm resistor would work fine. Maybe 25 ohms or so. Measure the resistance of the element on the bulb and use that as a reference. The thing about these is the element will be low resistance cold and nearly immediately get higher when on. If...

00 Ford mustang abs gt traction problem

Wow, were you trying to get your traction control to work or to disable it? Probably the best bet is to try a company that does module programming and see if they may have a printout of that board. I wouldn't hold my breath on that one. You may need to visit a salvage yard and get another board
