Please fill out the following to ask a question.

    Lexus:
    RX300:
    1999:
    280,000:
    4 cyl:
Fuel injector relay under hood clicks when car is turned off. Checked injectors and found no issues. Clicking stops by merely touching key to ignition switch, not even cycling switch. Car runs fine but relay clicks unless key is touching ignition.
Any ideas? Possibly security system. Not sure how to remediate

    A single click, or continuous click-click-click... ?

Sounds like a problem with the ignition switch...not the key part of the switch, but the electrical part of the ignition switch....Jim

    Thanks Jim.
It's a strange failure mode. Do you think that replacing the switch would remediate or could there be other issues that could cause this?

[IMG] You might be able to remove a cover above gas pedal and reach up behind dash to push/wiggle/twist ignition switch to see if that stops/starts the clicking. The switch would be located at the bend of Part # 2. (Part #2 is the part that you stick the key into.)

Most sounds like a PGM really, The PGM relay was notorious on these cars.
