2004 Ranger 3. 0 V6 Engine runs great but sometimes when the engine is hot and you stop at light the engine runs really rough and seems to be really rich. If I let it idle and not rev engine sometimes the engine warning light comes on . After you continue the eng. light goes out and the truck runs fine and the next time you stop it might run just fine. Any suggestions?

No trouble codes, and the Check Engine Light (CEL) does come on normally at engine start? Is this an auto transmission? If so, try shifting to neutral when you come to a stop and feel the engine struggling. If the rpm comes up right away in neutral then it is likely a problem with the Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) system.
