I know and have read a boatload of post about part of the issue im having. I have a 2001 dodge ram 1500 with a 46re trans. The valve body that was in their before was acting up,(stalling when i would slow down and turn, i could start it in any gear, rpm flucuating as i would give it gas and would not engage the gears ect). So i bought a valve body off a transmission place online and its identical from the one i took out. I got the new VB in last night and now I have reverse which works great and 1st gear which feels strong but no other gears. The issue is that it will not shift threw gears automatically OR manually. Everything ive read was that others have been able to manually shift theirs in to other gears but by god my wont do it. Ive disconnected the line going to the throttle body and still no change. We put it on a scanner and all the popped up was p1899 P/N which should have nothing to do with this. I tried what i could, reving rpms high and shifting, feathering the gas to try to get it to shift. Im at a point that i dont know what else to look at. If any ideas or anything it would be a big help.

trans are NOT my thing BUT am trying to learn.

The trouble tree for this -you have low and reverse- correct?

1st suspect is 1. Governor Circuit Electrical Fault... and that sounds most likely to me (wisdom) .

now to check this without a DRBIII will be the challenge. will post ASAP

I put my glasses on - that is fuse I an alpha character not a 1 one ...... my bad (old age) :-[

P0753 P1765 both point at the relay... a problem with the circuit likely culprit the fuse, relay itself, wiring to trans or the wiring to pcm.

start at the relay and fuse let me know - fuse and relay - how is your wire troubleshootinf skills?
