Please fill out the following to ask a question.

    MAKE:Toyota
    MODEL:Tundra
    YEAR:03
    MILES:
    ENGINE:4.7
    DESCRIBE ISSUE....

Need to replace condenser and could use some help with what else to replace as in expansion valve? And are there any instructions that someone could post? I do have a vacuum pump I could use to pull any moisture out of the system, but from there I'm lost as to what else would be needed. Or maybe someone knows of an instructional video that is credible?
    Thanks!

A real vacuum pump; one that can pull 28-30" Hg for 45 minutes or longer?

Replace whatever the "Drier" is. Could be a separate "can" but some Toyotas have it as part of the Condenser. Has it lost Oil? If you're changing Condenser and Drier, the only other place to hold much oil is the compressor. There should be a chart somewhere to say how much might be in the Evaporator inside the truck. You won't be draining the Evaporator, but you could pull the compressor, drain it, and refill with the rated quantity of new oil. But by all means vacuum it down, like billr mentioned.

That's a good one. Let me know when you turn it on so I'll know why my ears are ringing.
