In this series of automotive product reviews, the BAT AUTO staff will take a look at tools and/or products and events that we think most of you who visit our forum will find useful. There's quite a diversity of people who visit our forums. From the housewife who needs general guidance before taking her car to the shop, to the serious do-it yourselfer (DIY) who enjoys doing his/her own work, to the professional technician who is always looking to help out and at the same time learn from others experiences. We're glad so many different people come to us for automotive information and we are ALWAYS looking at ways to improve/expand our service.

We have noticed that many DIYs and even some professional technicians either do not know certain tools exist or are just plain confused about what they do or how they work. That's not surprising since things are changing so fast in the automotive repair industry that its sometimes difficult just to keep up. You can also spend quite a bit of money on a tool (sometimes needlessly) and still not end up with something that makes sense for you. Hopefully, we can help bridge the gap. The tool reviews will give you an un-biased look at some important products. Even if you're one of our visitors who isn't particularly interested in doing your own work, you should still find it interesting reading. Let's face it, you wouldn't be a visitor to the forums if you didn't want to know more about auto repair. So, enjoy! and feel free to give us some feedback and let us know how we're doing.

THESE ARTICLES ARE WRITTEN AS A GUIDE ONLY AND ARE NOT TO BE TAKEN AS ABSOLUTE FOR ALL VEHICLES. WHEN IN DOUBT, CONSULT YOUR MANUFACTURER'S OR PROFESSIONAL SERVICE MANUAL OR A PROFESSIONAL AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN. SOME ARTICLES ARE WRITTEN ON SPECIFIC VEHICLES AND THE INFORMATION CONTAINED IN THEM WILL BE DIFFERENT FROM YOUR SPECIFIC VEHICLE.

Remember, some of the articles have alot of images, so the loading time may be slow.

I am assuming this is from Bruce Boneback writing. I have given a lot of free time here, and loved your article on this thread.

Some ppl don't appreciate the time it takes to ponder, what for some, seems a crystal ball.

@Bruce, I wish I had your writing skills. You have a way with words that I cannot produce. Inspiring to say the least.;)

It is very hard to help ppl via internet. It takes patience to get to the root of the problem.

This site keeps me sane and sober.

I was hoping on a new fake elm327 and a black BAT hat.

I think jordan took my joke to seriously. But if he does send me a fake elm and a black hat, I will send him my 1970 3/8 ratchet. :D

It's a craftsmen and very rare. If I don't get the elm and hat, I will send my MAC impact 19mm socket. Good luck with that. MAC tools seem to be made of butter.
