    Hydraulic issue.

Do you hear a hiss from the booster? If no, disregard.

If this car was involved in a hit and run.

Easy to repair cosmetic, not so easy to fix the rest. That is why USA sends us cars that are VGA,

Cheaper for us to buy your scrap cars and fix them easy on the cheap.

But that is not my political debate I have with this thread.

    So, check this out.

If air came into the ABS unit/HCU, you are going to need a bi directional scanner to do the rest, or find a way to bypass pin 55 and actuate the pump. This will be a two man job if you don't have a capable ABS service tool.

There should be a shorting cap. If you don't know what that means, check this link

In principle, you want to fool the ABS control module to think it is in full ABS stop.

That is what we techs call a full bleed procedure. So, once all bleeders are open, activate pump. Make sure you have plenty of dot 3 fluid on hand.

But for a 1996, that was a long time ago. In Quebec, canada, we don't hold old cars for a long time. Conditions up here are severe. In case you were wondering what VGA means.

    Vehicle grandement accidentee.

    ;)
