Car 1: 1989 Honda Civic 4DR 1.5L auto trans 119K
Car 2 1991 Honda Civic 3DR HB 1.5L auto trans 182K

Both my Honda Civic's 1989 and 1991 are having a problem that when they are accelarated at low speeds, they both bog down like its not getting fuel, then all of a sudden, they both will high accel like nothing ever happen. They both have there original fuel pumps. Is it a sign that the fuel pumps are going?? Should i think about replacing both the pumps soon or drive them until they go completely? I did change the fuel filter in the 1991 Civic, and no change. Thanks Scotty

The 1991 Honda has been having cold idle problems since the transmission change out. its been running at 1200 rpms instead of the 1500 rpms at cold idle, but it does idle at 750 rpms when at operating temperature. also the engine light is not on in the 1991. The 1989 honda hasnt done it in a while. The 1991 does it more since i had electrial problems with it. I'll do the fuel pressure test on the 1991 this weekend when the weather gets better. whats the spec for the fuel pressure for the 1991 Honda?? thanks Scotty
