    PO101 Mass air flow.

Well the PO440 returned after a couple of days so that didn't do it. I decided to do a visual inspection of the gas cap. I see the rubber seal around it has small cracks all the way around. I have ordered a genuine GM GT261 cap to replace it. The tether was broken on the old one anyway so...

Thanks! I've thought about it but, as a DIYer you know how it is. When nothing is wrong with your vehicle you tend not to think so much about that stuff.

I've cleared all codes. I found a vacuum leak while changing my upper radiator hose the other day. I wonder if that caused the evap? This S10 has the canister in the fender. Seems that hose comes off the canister pretty easily. Hopefully it stays on now. I'll wait and see if the code comes back...

I wanted to update this. The light ended up coming back on. I had PO 101 and PO 440. I ended up changing the mass air flow sensor and that took care of the PO 101. I now need to start troubleshooting the PO 440

    PO101 Mass air flow.

On the way to work this morning, the light came back on. On the way home, it went back off. I scanned the codes to make sure it wasn't something else. The only code was PO101. I'll keep monitoring it.

    PO101 Mass air flow.

Thanks for the reply, Bill. Yes, I have a Fluke meter that will read frequency. Our power was out from the time I got home from work last night until sometime while I was at work today so, I didn't make it back here until tonight. Yesterday (Monday) when I was driving to work, the SES...

    PO101 Mass air flow.

Hey Nick, yes buddy. Stock air cleaner. The filter I believe is a FRAM. The orange border on it. Nothing has been changed recently that would set off alarm bells. Thanks for the advice on the MAF should I need one. I'd like to test whatever I can before just replacing a part. Did the video of...

    PO101 Mass air flow.

Ok, I cleaned the air filter and the MAF sensor. I used CRC brand MAF cleaner. I have now made 3 trips back and forth to work and the light came back, on the 3rd trip. I made a little longer recording. I wasn't sure how big of a file I could upload so I made 5 separate videos.

I have taken it out and cleaned it a couple of times with the cleaner spray you buy at Autozone. I haven't done it recently. I could try it again. I suppose that wouldn't hurt. It didn't look dirty when I did it before.

Understood. I'm not sure what file size can be uploaded here. I was at idle as I"m sure you figured out. 4 days ago, I had PO101, PO131, PO137, and PO151 (low voltage oxygen sensor circuit codes) I cleared the codes and those did not come back on with the exception of 101 today. The truck has...

    PO101 Mass air flow.

Guys I keep getting this code coming back. The top reported fix seems to be replacing the MAF sensor. The engine seems to run fine so I’m guessing the problem is the sensor. Since my scanner does live data, I figured I’d look at it and upload here so you experts can see if anything looks amiss...

    Stuck in 4WD

Thank you for the explanation on this. It does look pretty nice and the price is reasonable.
