    PO101 Mass air flow.

On the way to work this morning, the light came back on. On the way home, it went back off. I scanned the codes to make sure it wasn't something else. The only code was PO101. I'll keep monitoring it.

Ok guys thanks. I'll see what happens the next few days.

Thanks for the reply, Bill. Yes, I have a Fluke meter that will read frequency. Our power was out from the time I got home from work last night until sometime while I was at work today so, I didn't make it back here until tonight. Yesterday (Monday) when I was driving to work, the SES...

Hey Nick, yes buddy. Stock air cleaner. The filter I believe is a FRAM. The orange border on it. Nothing has been changed recently that would set off alarm bells. Thanks for the advice on the MAF should I need one. I'd like to test whatever I can before just replacing a part. Did the video of...

    Looks ok here, NickD.

Ok, I cleaned the air filter and the MAF sensor. I used CRC brand MAF cleaner. I have now made 3 trips back and forth to work and the light came back, on the 3rd trip. I made a little longer recording. I wasn't sure how big of a file I could upload so I made 5 separate videos.

I have taken it out and cleaned it a couple of times with the cleaner spray you buy at Autozone. I haven't done it recently. I could try it again. I suppose that wouldn't hurt. It didn't look dirty when I did it before.

Understood. I'm not sure what file size can be uploaded here. I was at idle as I"m sure you figured out. 4 days ago, I had PO101, PO131, PO137, and PO151 (low voltage oxygen sensor circuit codes) I cleared the codes and those did not come back on with the exception of 101 today. The truck has...

    PO101 Mass air flow.

Guys I keep getting this code coming back. The top reported fix seems to be replacing the MAF sensor. The engine seems to run fine so I’m guessing the problem is the sensor. Since my scanner does live data, I figured I’d look at it and upload here so you experts can see if anything looks amiss...

    Stuck in 4WD

Thank you for the explanation on this. It does look pretty nice and the price is reasonable.

You think the severly overfilled fluid could cause the case to shift on it's own, Nick?

    Stuck in 4WD

I pulled the filler plug on the transfer case and drained just over 2 quarts out. It was plumb full. I have been occasionally adding trans fluid for probably over a year and wondering where it was going. I found the answer. Doesn't seem like that could make a transfer case go to 4WD by itself...

Ok, thank you. Any suggestions on a scanner that makes sense for a the shadetree DIYer like myself? Perhaps I should just take it to a place for a scan?

    Stuck in 4WD

I haven’t seen the light come on so I have not. To the best of my knowledge my Actron scanner has been ok at retrieving codes. I can check it. Maybe I need to go with a Bluetooth option? I know Nickb2 talked to me about that a couple of years ago

That's a great idea Dan. I've just noticed I'm leaking what appears to be trans fluid. I'm hoping it's just the pan gasket and not something worse.
