    2001 Vw Beetle codes Po455 and Po171??

    Po455 is an emmision code for evap leak and not an engine vacuum leak. I don't have an smog machine to pressurize the evap system to check this leak. But I will start to check all the emmision system visually and see if I can find any broken hose or parts.

    2001 Vw Beetle I got rid of all my obd2 codes yet the car will not pass the Smog

    After searching the Internet I realize I have to go to at least 2 Vw drive cycles before the monitors become in the ready state to pass the Smog test and this is trough driving under certain speed, conditions and time. I'll keep you posted after I use the drive cycles!!

    2001 Vw Beetle , I keep getting code po103 I can't get rid off!!

    I cleaned and installed the original Maf sensor (the new sensor I bought was defective and my old sensor was still good at 65k miles) and replaced the O2 sensor closer to the engine and all codes are gone, thank you for all feedback!! :ROFL

    2001 Vw Beetle I got rid of all my obd2 codes yet the car will not pass the Smog

    The other codes keep popping up because I installed a wrong or defective maf sensor. Once I cleaned and installed the old original maf sensor all this codes dissapeared. But I still had code Po171 (its a lean condition on bank one) and after I changed the O2 sensor no more codes appeared...

    2001 Vw Beetle Oxygen sensor replacement??

    So I used the new shorter version of Oxygen sensor from Autozone (this was for a different model volkswagen) and I cut the extra wiring from my old sensor and connected to the new sensor and works great. I saved more than 70 dollars by doing this and I got rid of code Po171 !! :ROFL

    2001 Vw Beetle 2.0 O2 sensor. The part number for this car is #17085 or #17351 Bosch with 5 wires and I have a #17014 Bosch with same connectors and 5 wires laying around. Can I replace my bad sensor with the #17014 Bosch or its not a good idea. Any feedback will be highly appreciated...

    I did put a good used Maf sensor from my brother vw and now I keep getting code Po113 and I think it is related to the Air Intake Temperature sensor!! I don't know if there is a way to check this sensor, but I don't know where is located! Any ideas??

    I did use carb cleaner and spray around the intake and near the vacuum hoses and there was no change I also cleaned up the throtle body. I don't know if I bought a defective aftermarket Maf sensor! Keep getting code po103!
