Sold it and bought an 07 Solstice. Perfect day yesterday for a drive with the top down.

    Chain saw won't start hot

Moot. Just found out the oil chamber nipple broke off...might have done it when I was disassembling it. Thanks for the info, Gents. Don't want to put any more $ into it. Used the primer bulb to repair my homelight saw.

Dang. Nobody has a replacement magneto new. Too old, I guess. I bought a used one and will try it out today.

    95 S-10 ABS light on

You might be able to find a used Actron CP9449 ABS scanner used on the cheap. Got me through a lot of ABS-which-wheel-is-it? questions.

Pontiac Torrent passenger belt buckle not working

Yes, perhaps I wasn't clear. There's a piece of trim that partially covers the end of the belt buckle with the hole in it for access to the anchor bolt you pictured. I had to partly loosen the trim to get the electrical connector attached to the buckle out after I took out the (pictured)...

Pontiac Torrent passenger belt buckle not working

Pretty easy job. Only difficult part was getting the trim screw out. Who puts in a 1" torx head screw under the seat to hold in a piece of trim that pretty much isn't going anywhere? smh Well, yeah, it didn't go anywhere, but that's not the point. LOL

Pontiac Torrent passenger belt buckle not working

Didn't work. Something is busted inside. Guess it's one of those 20%. Found one on eBay for $20.

Pontiac Torrent passenger belt buckle not working

So far I've found part # 19149915 for "ebony" color, which is about $30 more than the beige color. So far it's been around $90 new.

Pontiac Torrent passenger belt buckle not working

The buckle for the front passenger seat on my 2008 Torrent is not working. The retractor and belt work fine, but it won't "clip" into the buckle part. Is this repairable or do I need a new one? Part number, anyone?

    Reprogramming seat sensor cost

A heads up: You kid will get stronger than you...someday. Of this there is no doubt. :) I held on into my mid-30s, then began to lose the battle with the kids . At some point, you'll get comfortable with it. I struggled to come to terms with my waning desire to exercise, which...

    Evap code

Yep. I had two GM cars that had a corroded surface such as pictured. Successfully managed to clean it up and used a new cap, and the code went away. I did occasionally coat the rim of the mating surface with a wee bit of grease to slow down further corrosion. Worked well in both cases, but...

    Reprogramming seat sensor cost

In my real life, I'm a veterinarian and I see diagnostics as a challenge (in a good way). One advantage to auto repair is that parts are replaceable. In my line of work...not so much. ;)

    Reprogramming seat sensor cost

Nick makes an excellent point; there's a HUGE difference between a scan tool and a code reader. Many times the term "scanner" is used, which is confusing. Does "scanner" mean "bidirectional scan tool", which has WAY more diagnostic capabilities than a reader, or does "scanner" mean a code...
