    Launch or Autel?

Used the MK808 last night and it is a nice little tool but didn't seem to do a lot, kind of limited but nice for what it costs. I'll be looking to the 908 but my question is the J2534 box. I use nexiq usb link 2 daily on heavy duty class 8. I believe the J2534 is a must if I want to program...

    Launch or Autel?

Launch is out for me, a friend has a 808 that I am going to barrow and check a few things out so that will get me some hands on to see what it can do. His wifey bought it for him last year, what a nice gal. I will update as I can. Thank you again you are a knowledgeable person and I certainly...

2008 chevy Tahoe LTZ DRL diag

Yes indeed,I think it is a confusion with auto headlights and DRL in a cloudy day auto headlights are on and then on a sunny day they go off and DRL comes on kind of a redundant deal. It's like having auto headlights with wipers on with a Canadian truck which comes standard with DRL

2008 Tahoe park assist codes short to battery

Update I found a module at the wrecking yard, plugged it in and had vin mis match + some of same codes. I have read that the aftermarket sensors are junk and may or may not work so I'll be doing some more checks. I did the listen check and each sensor is clicking I had the car in reverse and...

    Launch or Autel?

Awesome thank you, I've never been impressed with Launch as far as looks but never had a chance to hold one. I have a buddy that has an Autel 808 the $500 version but I will be going for the 9 series but just need to do a little more research. Also I found and heard about a laptop unit "...

    Launch or Autel?

Been thinking about another scan tool. Launch x431 v and Autel MS908 are ones I've been reviewing because my Matco determinator ( otc genisys) stops at 2012 and I am not going to upgrade it. Any of you guys have experience with Launch or Autel? These are all in the 1K range for price and I'm...

belt chirp,, 1997 ford E150 XLT club wagon 5.4 235K with rear A/C / heat

How difficult is it to replace the A/C clutch and bearing in vehicle? I have never attempted just a clutch swap, I glanced at the procedure and first thing is to recover and remove the compressor but if it has to be removed then it will get replaced along with condenser accumulator and orifice...

I agree, and it comes down to how much we want to spend on this job. I did see that at some point they installed plastic idlers so those will get replaced with metal.

2009 Saturn outlook/traverse/Acadia stabilitrak abs lights AWD off?

I had a stabiltrak code and all it was was a speed sensor got ,unplugged and I plugged it in and fixed it. There are a lot of inexpensive "less than $300." scan tools out there that would pay for them selves in just a few visits to a shop. Your $89 turns into $150 by the time they add up the...

Agreed don't know why they put in 4 except they must have bought as a group. I do need an OEM diagram when you have time of course. My resources are limited just what ever I find on the google box. I had a lot of manuals and subscriptions but I left active wrenching years ago and now just help...
