    ok need more info like is the shift lever moving at transmission also did you do anything to the valve body did you get all fluid full or is it reading full with only 6 or 7 quarts

    ok you could have a stuck 1-2 Shift valve in vale body can you read live data and see if computer is commanding the 2nd gear shift it could be some thing as easy as a speed sensor but you need to see live data to figure out what the sensors are doing verses the computer is commanding

    2 to 3 hours job and yes vb has to come off to get to the snap rings for reverse servo and over drive servo also when putting back together you have to install over drive band servo after the band to hold into place

    bill the internals are the same so go ahead and swap them out all you'll need is a big pair of channel lock pliers or a big c clamp to compress the OD Band servo to get that snap ring in

    ok all trucks 2wd are easy to remove trans weight is about 150 LBS make sure they have the same starter bolt pattern trans lines are 1/2 or 5/8 line wrench as for years they did change in the 2004 I think not sure don't have a year interchange chart sorry bill but most wrecking yards can tell you
