Thank you for the reply. As cheap as I am, I use the Alldata DYI which has a heading for sunroofs, but only shows the wiring for the vanity mirrors in the sun visors.

    99 GMC Yukon

Does anyone have a set of electrial diagrams for the sunroof on these things? Elsewhere I found a comment that if the battery power is removed with the sunroof open that the BCM thinks it is closed and must be reset with a dealers scan tool. I would like to verify that this is the problem...

    GMC 4.3 6 cylinder

:'(I could us some advice on this one. In the past few months I have put together 2 of the late model Vortex engines with the composite(read cheap ass plastic) timing chain covers. Both started leaking after a short time. One was in a Blazer where the whole engine has to be raised to get the...

94 Blazer 4.3 cpi ran out of gas

Something for all of you to take note of on this subject:If somebody sugars the gas tank or dumps in some good old red Georgia dirt, the fuel pump grinds it up,it goes right through the filter and will plug up the injectors or(if its sugar) get burned in the cylinders. The result is a hard...

    2000 Dodge caravan brakes...again

Basic question but I have to ask anyway:You did measure the inside diameter of those drums? The max diameter is stamped on them somewhere, and if exceeded will cause the condition you describe since the cylinders at max reach cannot exert any real pressure against the drums. $.02

AC trouble with 93 Taurus 3.8L

Last year I did a 93 Mercury Villager(Escort wagon). It was owned by an elderly gentleman and had only 93k on the clock.Still had R12 in there! Did the compressor, dryer flush, all new o rings and an orifice tube,PAG oil and 134A . Came out with 42 degree air at the center vent. Amazed me! I...

AC trouble with 93 Taurus 3.8L

A theory is something that remains such until proven by fact. The fact is you need to have someone slap a set of gages on that thing and show you how low the freon level is. Your problen runs much deeper that a recharge however. We don't know how many miles are on this car or if it has been...

Boat question...Please help. I'm completely lost!

Your compresson is in the mud. 105 psi is barely enough to run a lawnmower. You should see at least 130-140 per cylinder, and the vacuum should top out around 18-20 inches. You might want to take old timer's suggestion about looking at the valve overlap, but if you don't want to tear into this...

AC trouble with 93 Taurus 3.8L

You are low on freon. That is why tje system is short cycling. First thing to do is get a set of gages on it and get the high and low side pressure.

    1993 Chev Blazer

When it's good and warm, pull the front oxygen sensor and check the exhaust back pressure(or just see if it runs better). The catalytic converter may be plugged. $.02

AC retrofitt on 91 Mercury Tracer: Questions

I did one of these about a year and 1/2 ago and it worked well. My personal preference for these is esther but the pag works ok. The BIG thing is be sure to use the same viscosity in the same amount as the original installation.

Boat question...Please help. I'm completely lost!

The other reason I suggested looking at the timing chain first is that he has no service information on this thing. Is the normal compression like the old "Iron Duke" which ran normally around 170 psi static,or more like a normal GM where 130 across the board is well within limits. If you have...

Repalce head gasket or get new engine-95 camero.5.7L (106K miles)

Do both sides. Find a good machine shop. Have the heads sealed and pressure tested for leaks FIRST, then grind the valves and resurface. When the top of the block is clean using a straight edge look for warpage.Reassemble with the Alldata instructions.

Boat question...Please help. I'm completely lost!

No because that would have the valves not in the right place with respect to the piston position. You need to look first and even if you get someone else to do this you will need some reference material to do normal service.Post back. We can help.

Boat question...Please help. I'm completely lost!

The only way to be absolutely sure is pull the timing chain cover and look. You can get sort of an idea by getting #1 cylinder up on compresson and seeing how close the rotor is to the #1 tower on the distributor. I'm not very familiar with this engine. How old is it? You need to locate a service...
