    Retrieve abs codes obd1 gm

Didn't see the ABS part either. It's probably best to include it in the body of the message. Good luck

:D You are one funny guy, Nick. I do love my S10. I wish the gas mileage were a little better though. That stuff isn't cheap at all anymore. It's kind of a love hate relationship lately. Now my 4WD isn't engaging. I think it might be the encoder motor. I probably should start another...

Nice! I'd have no problem using your shop or grcauto for a transmission. Of course you aren't in my area. Hopefully I don't need anymore transmission builds

I got ya. It seems like I got a reputable shop. I'm glad of that.

If I understand correctly, you're saying Jasper builds the transmissions and the shop just installs them? The shop was called Mr. Transmission. Hopefully the warranty is never needed. When the prices finally settle down. (probably when the whole chip shortage thing is over) I'll look into...

Sheesh. Everything has really gone up over the past year. I've been through that transfer case filling up thing. When I removed the fill plug on the transfer case, it was spitting out. I believe there was over a quart in there. I did a regular check of it after that. I'll now have that problem...

Thank you for the input. Hopefully this rebuild will last for a long time. Right now vehicle prices are out of control with this chip shortage. I'd like to upgrade but, the prices are nuts. The guy said a transfer case input shaft seal comes in the rebuild kit. Does this sound right?

He said he used Moog U Joints. He also says they use any upgraded trans parts. All I can go by is what he says. Do you think the cost was in the ballpark?

Well, I got the truck back today. It's shifting just fine now. I asked what the actual problem was causing all of the slipping. He said it was in the input drum. He said the sprag was "blown apart". That's the terminology he used. I've watched videos on youtube so I know what the sprag gear...

Hey guys, my work schedule has been very busy lately. I have decided to let a transmission shop handle this. If I had all the time in the world, it would be different. I will definitely post the outcome here. I really appreciate the help you guys give. This is a great place.

Thanks for taking the time to read this BP. I hope you're feeling better. I've called a local transmission shop that had some pretty good reviews. The guy told me pretty much the same thing. He mentioned probably a broken piston. It's great to have two opinions that pretty much agree. I...

That code only came up the one time. I looked visually at the wiring when I was under there. It looked fine from what I can see.

Well, I changed the A and B solenoids. New filter. Refilled with 2 bottles of Lucas Trans fix and Dexron III. Transmission slipping badly. If I accelerate slow. It will shift ok to about 30 mph. Once I start trying to go faster, the RPM's just shoot up. I had it up around 50 and the RPM were...

Thanks for that recommendation, Bill. I will take a look at it. I just update where I am on this job right now in my reply to NIck. Yes, 4L60E. I'm not sure what I was thinking when I wrote what I did.

Any time, Nick. Be advised that I'm currently doing this particular job. Last thing I need to figure out is how to get the old filter seal out of the trans without damaging anything. I bought a one piece filter from global transmission so I can't just reuse the old seal. I don't think? Maybe...
