I'd be looking at the temp senders. ECT is the most critical. If the sensor is failing hot it could be shorted (full hot) to open (-40) Does it run rich when it happens?

It's called phaser rattle.

You need to get at it whatever way you can.

It could be something else related to the module. Need to do some testing to know for sure.

The module may have puked.

You may ruin the compressor if you do not use the correct tools to take it apart.

The seals have a lip and go in one way only. The lip faces pressure.

What exactly is your problem and can you record it?

I believe you are referring to the pressure relief valve.

Jack, if it's leaking oil it will need oil. NEW compressors come filled with oil. I think he was talking about replacing it.

I would just charge it with a can of 134A with oil and see how long it lasts. Might out last you.

I'd replace any hard parts that have even the slightest cracks.
