Hello again,

I've noticed minor eng oil leak in between the engine and transmission. I suspected rear main seal, but after reading on a Toyota website, someone had mentioned that it could be the oil pan leaking as it was found to be a more common with this truck. So with that in mind, I want to remove the No. 1 oil pan, Oil baffle Plate & No. 2 oil pan and reseal with new gasket material. Has anyone done one of these? If so does engine have to be lifted up some to access bolts?

Thanks!
Conk

It calls for 2.5hrs for lower oil pan, but if you want baffle, add 0.2hr. So yeah, need to jack and remove stuff, not a 5min job.

Thats helps, but, I DONT THINK IT WILL CUT down on this. So now we know you have base pick up, rwd base engine and all of the above shyte doesnt apply. Ok.

Is this your truck yes or no

Yes, this is my truck. Bought it in 04' with 29K miles, now its at 360K. Were growing old together.
