1988 chevy silverado 5.7 runs when cold as soon as it reaches temp it dies

truck runs good when fired up cold as soon as it reaches temp it idles up an sputters an dies wont start back up until cooled down

Probably a bad Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor. (number 2 on this diagram) 1555294303268.png

Sticky EGR valve, shut off when cold as another possible problem, AF ratio is very lean, engine dies.

I gotta ask... is there a typo in the OP? I think the Silverado didn't come out until about '98. In '88 I doubt there would be what we call a CKP sensor, probably a "basic trigger" from the dizzy.

What is the fuel pressure?
Have you tried the WD-40 trick after it stalls?
