Yea I'm getting it towed later this week to my buddies shop I noticed that when cranking the tach still doesn't move so thinking bad distributor

i bought a new distributor and got the keeper off for the one in the truck but its stuck can't get it to pull up and out and now have to wait another month to get someone to fix it as the 2 people that said they would do the job have stood me up. oh well story of my life

Well got distributor replaced now I just have to get new battery and still gotta adjust timing it's off a bit still hopefully end of the week it will be back on the road but it does run again

Well it's running again had a friend set the distributor by ear and I say he must have got it right on cause it runs good I tried having my mechanic put a timing light to it but could not find specs and everything we found online said there is no adjustment

I just advance it until I get ping under WOT and then back off until the ping is gone and set it. Works better than a light. Not all engines are the same tightness.
