Slow loss of coolant, only when the heater is on. Set to full cold, no loss. Is there a heater core bypass that stops flow unless heat is on? Otherwise I would expect a loss regardless of temperature setting.

Coolant level stays good as long as I don't move the temperature control off full cold, as soon as I do, the coolant level drops over time. A day or two it is noticeably low.

Maybe the heater core. Does the windshield fog up when the heat is on and set to defrost?

I'll have to check for that, I assume it's the heater core, but it is just odd to me that it only looses fluid when the heater is on.
