You might want to consider posting on the BAT TRANSMISSION FORUM. Transman and Stu could probably be more help.

But first, I gotta ask, are there any "Kerry/Edwards" or "Save The Planet" bumper stickers on it? What about any "Bush Lied" or "Help Darfur Now" bumper stickers? Those really should come off.

Is this vehicle turbo, or non-turbo?

Your vehicle has CAN (Controller Area Network). P0600 is a major CAN fault, but I'm not showing P1670... unless you're talking P1607, that's a drive by wire code. Are there any others?

You need to check pretty much ALL CAN connections, wiring for opens or shorts, a module on the CAN bus that's defective (remove them one at a time), or the PCM itself. Was the vehicle in a flood or suffered collision damage?

If you don't have the factory shop manual, you might want to consider an <a href="http://www.myaffiliateprogram.com/u/alldata/t.asp?id=1035">AllDataDIY</a> sub.
