So I sanded the grounds on the femder with the same results. Checked and sanded and reattached.

Airbag light stays off until seatbelt is clicked. At this point, I’m stumped. With 153,000 miles and 18 years old, maybe I should cut my losses and move on.

Anyway, I ran out of light. It still runs, just has no rear lighting. I can drive it in the daytime.

This is what I found online about code 53:
