Have 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 PU with Cummins Diesel and Auto Trans. Truck has 52000 miles on it and ran great with no problems. Went to start it and gauges, tack, speedo and overhead console are all dead. Air Bag, Check Engine and ABS lights stay on. Truck starts and runs fine the little bit I drove it. Fuses all checked out OK. Alternator is putting out 14 volts at the batteries. Retrieved three codes: P1687, P1694 and P1698. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

two thoughts....
1) are you seeing a message "no buss" ?

2)...do you have remote starter? any added electrical?

All are communication codes, let us know answers to above..

The odometer says "No bus". I have added turbo temp, boost and trans temp gauges about two years ago. I unhooked the power to them and it made no difference. It dose not have a remote starter.
