2003 Tundra 4.7 Horn Relay Location

Having some trouble figuring this out. Is the horn and flasher relay the same? Horn is intermittent as in it works when it wants to but never when needed. Lol.

I know it has a integration relay somewhere although not sure if that's where I need to be looking. The relay I purchased from rock auto is very small but cant seem to find the location of this exact one in the vehicle.

I am surprised I missed this one. Sorry for overlooking that BC.

Highly doubt that they use same relay for horn AND flasher. That would be a safety issue. Maybe start looking at the clockspring. Cuz in all my years doing this, never have I seen a integration relay for horn and flasher on one relay. But those circuits do go through the clockspring, so when that goes south, good idea to look there.

A distinct sound you MAY hear, is a small thunk or click sound when turning steering,

Question, is cruise control and radio control on steering pad intermittent also?

If so, sure sign the clockspring is shot.

I just want to be sure we are on same page, this is why I am asking questions.

From what I know, the integration relay is an soldered part and not normally serviceable. I could be wrong, but my gut says, if in fact you have kind of relay problem, need new fuse block, kinda like a gm or mopar type deal, remove, replace, and if so reprogram.

I dont think you need to go this far, but keep us abreast of this problem. This thread is interesting.

Response #9 of this link kinda confirms what I am trying to say, but I dont have access to my data base right now. But this thread might help you.

I would be highly surprised also if rock auto sold that kind of micro relay. Should be over a few bones. You will need some serious skills to replace that kind of relay.

How do I replace the Integration Relay?

Does anyone have any experience with replacing the Integration Relay on a Tundra? I have been having trouble with my power door locks and seem to have determined that my integration relay is faulty. I would desperately like to replace this myself but can not find out any information on how...

Sorry for the very late response. Was out of country for a few months and when I got back had caught the covid so didn't get the chance to respond.

Turns out the bearing on the steering wheel column was not making a ground contact. Cleaned up the bearing and greased now horn is working again. I was suspecting the clock spring and decided to first try this and its still working.
