Getting P2068 and fuel gauge lazy, so we replaced BOTH sending units with OEM units. This vehicle has 2 sending units, one on the pump and one on passenger side of tank. BTW, both senders, old and new, tested fine with the VOM. We are still getting that error even after clearing the code. The ground at the tank looks fine. What could we look at now? Thanks.

Need to check for a short in the circuit. Load test the ground and you'll likely find it. Could be on the power side but grounds seem more prevalent.

Revisiting the Fusion. Does anyone have a wiring diagram of the fuel sender circuit and any modules between the tank and cluster? I have good grounds at the tank, just don't know the layout of rest of circuit, Thanks.

This should work, btw, I hate 3.0l fusion. They also suck large in the awd dept. What a mess to fix. My hands dont fit anywhere to get to anything. Jokes aside, here is what I think your looking for.
