I just installed a used tranny . Immediately got a code for solenoid D . And have issues shifting into 3rd 4th range. Then car goes into limp mode. I’m interested in swapping out the D solenoid but don’t know which it is. Valve body has 3 on left and 3 on right side. Anyone know the specifics of this ?.

Solenoid D would be the OD and what I am seeing it is is upper part of tans, not in the pan lower part. And if I am good should be yellow part shown in following pic

BP is our trans specialist, maybe he will confirm, but I am pretty much sure this is the one, as a after thought, they are all same solenoids, but that I cant confirm, mitchel ot alldata doesnt give me proper testing prcedure, so you must assume they are all same part number, but location of D should be the yellow. once your in there, assume trans is shot, or just interchange one with another, take risk, or just swap the whole unit and be done with it.

My opinion is like an arshole, take it for what it is, it is 2 30 am up here, I half arsed reseach this. ;)

Best bet, try to find a another junk unit, take any solenoid or the whole valvebody, and dont look back. If it works, you just save a few. Best bet again, if that dont work, classic santa fe trans failure, replace unit and yeah, I am done. Cuz I really think, they just sell the whole unit. So, yeah, guess.

forget what I wrote, yellow should still be good, but seeing bore length, go with yellow, soleoind resistance will be same, but not the valve profondeur. Sorry, french got in the way.

Shyte, forgot to ask, a awd or fwd cuz that might be kinda important. Seeing a slight different in design, not sure if it affects how the valve-body works.

So specify, making some chocolate cup cakes for gf while she snores, best I can do while she works in old home. I even made smores, but dont tell her that. wink wink

I even timed the coffee maker. Darn, I am turning in to a righteous house wife, half time I learned something.

Only thing I have to say, my gf rocks, she is preposer au beneficiares, dont f with them right now. Say hi, and thx.

In regards to the other things I wrote, will surley try my buddy vincenzo, he used to work on these back then, I just probe or scope and diagnose. So yeah. Me boring sleepless in Seattle so to speak. Graham crackers are done, just need to fill in love card.
