Someone cross-threaded a wheel stud on the front driver's side. This is my niece's car, so I'm trying to help her out.
I thought it would be a simple fix, but there's no clearance in any position, to hammer the old stud out, much less pull a new one through. I can remove the hub and do it, but I've seen a few youtube video comments that if you remove the hub, and knock out the stud, it will cause damage to the hub bearings. ANY TRUTH TO THIS?
Thanks, BAT
