Just bought a new battery for my ride and noticed when i got it home and removed the plastic caps that covered the posts i discovered the posts appear to be made of aluminum.
In the past i would apply vasaline ( in place of dialectric grease) and that would prevent corrosion, but if the post are made of aluminum should I continue this practice would it be of any benefit? Should I assume that I should be a little extra careful when cranking down on the battery clamps to the Post since it's made of aluminum? Thanks for responses in advance
