I have been using "ad blocker plus", on Win8 with Chrome, and it has worked OK. This morning the ads are so pervasive, on this site as well as others, that I have to search for the desired content. Any ideas of why this is suddenly happening, or how to relieve it?

Note that on this site, batauto, the ads still go away completely when I am logged in.

Wow, now all the garbage is gone, just a couple of hours later. My wife's computer (Linux with Firefox) also seems to be acting up. Something is going on...

Mac laptop with Catalina on either Firefox or Chrome no such problem
