On the down side of gun law in canada, they still come in from windsor via michigan and other USA local places. While I was getting treated, 3 ppl died, many other wounded. While I was getting my clothes cut off my person because they were looking for other wounds I may not account for, 2 of the stretchers that went by were DOA cases, 3rd one dies a few minutes later. Some idiot killed his own sister in a drive by shooting not two street corners from where my french arse was getting totaled in by gang related ppl I have nothing to do with. No less, with a hammer.

The only word that comes to my mind to describe my assault. Gratuit. Which in french, not only means freebie, but also doubles for the word "senseless".

Real facts as they were related to me later on next morning was not what I initially thought. Two different shootings went down not 2 minutes from each other.

Here is a story of the first DOA I saw, the other two were related to a different saga. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/man-guilty-of-murder-in-leslieville-bar-shooting-1.897896

If there is anyone here who has a soul, giving to victim funds of senseless violence helps a lot more than you think.

But sometimes, it is not money that is required, a more social approach is actually more helpfull than a wad of cash thrust into the face of a PTSD victim.

I thought I would close this thread by saying the parcel is en route, awaiting hook up and different software's to test the real elm chip.

Un known to this, the elm dongle finally made it to canada. . But I was an idiot and gave Jordan my home address for the parcel.

Not even once did my mind say to me, you work 8 - 5. How u going to be there/home 8 -5 if your at work.

Anyway, final cost of transaction was 96$

Still not here, but now shipped to where I am actually on working days.

I paid a few buck for a good old certified check nobody can deny. Written in bold letters UPS.

Now the real test of that plastic gear thing starts. which one will outlast a 15$ pool cushion/concussion pumper?

Thoughts?

Should I do usb and wifi and BT comparisons?

My initial, just wifi and BT as nobody really uses usb anymore for data transfer, so that would be lost on the smart phone ppl.

Bill once said he really hates writing. So do I. I am ashamed to show my scarred face on a camera with a french accent ppl will laugh at. But, I am posturing slowly. The red thing of a ma jig will probably last 5min in my gf's hand. The dongle, she will probably just see that as a glitch in her phone.;)

So again, should I talk security issues?

or maybe why wifi is better than BT?

What would YOU all want in a good review of a very low to mid level scanner (disclaimer, depends on the hardware you buy).

I toyed with things like torque pro and such, beyond the cool young guy interfaces, it/they did nothing to surprise me.

One that blew my mind at first was Forscan.

So, when said parcel arrives, first thing to do is hook it up to a every day shop pc.

One that has BT of course,

the one use use on my tool box is a crack deal gone wrong type 40$ laptop. Found listing on kijjiji for parts. Nope, wasn't for parts. Anyway, scoot with the loot. Been happy with that lenovo think pad I5. That thing just won't go away.

So tips, if your in the market for a tuff book, this is a very viable shop laptop alternative, for a literal fraction of the price. The chassis takes every thing I give it.

once soaked it galore. just for laughs with the guys. I said I got it for 40$, Thats not even half my tab last night. SO we soaked it like it was a greasy engine,

Next day, fired right up and prompted my database as needed.

Since then, sold. The lenovo think pads are tuff. If you get in the I5 or higher, no auto scope can blink it.

Unless you got some serious spy ware/porn in the firewalls.

old dual cores are not futur ready, but a cheap i5 or I7 can be had for peanuts. And trust me, they will take more abuse than your average teenager. This is my third think pad, the samsings and such just melted away in the shop environment. My fancy a10 laptop lasted not more than three months.

Pawned that for equivalent apple shyte, another three days, I chucked it. Nothing viable for cross platforms.

Bought the bullet proof samsing from autel, it doing fine. But don't try to hack that, you will end up with a brick like snap on.

So, could this thread even get into coding?

Cuz it can be done on the cheap. Seriously, like 5cent transistor and $.02 resistor and a few broke amps to make the bread board.

I never got into coding, until when I first saw my first VAG scanner, I almost pissed my pants. Since then, still not proficient in coding. But it sure has come a long way.

But for those who like that function, it shines. Bill likes the mega squirt system, and seeing what he can do, I can totally see why a guy like him would want to re designate to stay within can and J protocals. Very hard for the home guy with a cell phone and a check engine light pissing him off cuz that is all he is hearing out of the one he is supposed to love to death do us part.

But those are one car apps.

What if you had something that could talk to all protocols? Wouldn't be be neat? Example. Other day before vacation, wife of some guy leaves every thing in the car. Drops the RFD key in the baby stroller. I shyte you not, this is the sort of stuff I see day in and day out.

So now, the stroller has crushed the remote, cant unlock cuz hubby is at work with other spare key. Now what do I do.? Pull out the hammer? Or scratch the nice windows like a cat trying to get away from the bigger cat trying to do hmm, hhmm. ?

What do you do. You pick up a TPMS scanner and get the rfd signal. Bingo, pick up the rfd, even if remote was walked on in a frenzy of chicks looking for keys.

That walk reminded me of this old video I like to post here for the benefit of my ocd, where are my f ing key/s?

Nobody, to this day has ever told me the use of the guy in the back of above video, the guy with the beige pants and same color shoes. What is his use in the grand scheme of the chicken guy?

If I was dancing THAT fast!!

I would not need some one else to tell me to go faster. This then reminds me of star trek. Or other shows we may have admired through a cathode display.

Damn, ocd caught on, lost all thought control.

Still seeing the blew chicken and asking myself WTF is the guy in the back there for? Does the dude with the fancy turkey things coming out of his sleeves really NEED a life coach right now?

Heck no! Another 5$ he be fine. Nancy Reagan and Mother Theresa had a bunch of good intentions. That all went out the window when Taliban decided to say all the planet should be Shari Allah.

That is when cold canadian bacon says, this is mine, allies unite for a common front and promptly get this by the elected officials they putt into place. Not just in south Karolina does this happen, yes I know, it is a C. Know, the last kaorlina I saw sounded just like this guy.
