Wife works at the local hospital, set up and office in our home and is using video transmission via the internet to communicate. All restaurants and bars are closed, grocery stores have reduced hours.

Kind of living out in the sticks, nearest virus case is 175 miles south of us. All schools are closed, grandkids are being taught by their parents, hey, not a bad idea, 80% of our property taxes are going to schools, and those drug free signs are BS.

All what they call non-essential clinic visits have been cancelled, Some neighbors that came home from other places are restricted to their homes for 14 days.

Stores are completely out of toilet paper, people buying way more than they need, maybe they think they can wipe out the virus with this, because this product is intended for wiping.

Good question is, where did this virus come from? Nature or man made?

The reason given is:

"The United States has surpassed China and Italy for the most confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the world.

According to the Department of Health’s website, the United States has confirmed 82,404 cases of the coronavirus with 1,178 deaths and 619 people who have recovered from the virus."

Some medical people claim the reason for this is that the United States has the means to test more people than other countries, so perhaps we are not the highest, just that we can test more people.

Most people don't know this....To date since the first of this year in the US ONLY there have been more than 20,000 deaths from the common flu bug. They believe the total will be about 100,000 deaths by year end. I have the virus. It's no fun but it isn't any worse than the flu I've had in the past. I'm on the back side of the sickness.
It would be nice if the media showed the stats for other deaths along with the deaths from this virus. That would be responsible so that ends there.
Ever wonder why they don't show us daily stats on the number of babies murdered through abortion each day?
Guess what that number is.

Good to hear you are getting better.

I have a friend who is on the Zaandam. He has the virus also and is getting over it. Stuck in an inside cabin. Sucks because nobody will let the boat dock and it is coming all the way from Chile now to the USA to dock. Local officials don't want their "numbers" to go up. Even Florida ports are trying to avoid the boat docking. People are nuts.

for some reason, I feel a need to write this.

My mom is cool, she talked me out of an anxiety rush.

I think alot of ppl right now are feeling the same way. it is kind of un-precedented?, if that words exists, in my head it does.

Anyway, the lay off at work is huge. Some of the guys at work are going ballistic, I took a planned leave off work today, something I told my boss a few ago. If we, as techs, keep together, we can all take one day off, and save a salary. Since they laid off everyone expect the tech and essential front staff, I thought it would be a good idea to initiate this. It is making me anxious, cuz I know a few of the guys are not on board at all with this measure. I think in long run, it will work. SO I am the guinea pig, again, not sure of that word, I have to trust my translator here.

My mom thinks I am setting my self up to shoot my other foot. But my boss thinks it is a good idea. 5 techs, five days. One off each day, you just saved a salary. But I think some of the guys at work, and gals also are really short on cash, and not seeing clearly how this migh5t be the best measure to cooperate.

I am not fancy footing here, I am just saying, I am not so far gone down the credit line where I need to be at work, and send a guy home who is waiting a newborn.

So I am kind of pissed of at a coworker right now. I wont mention any names, not my place to do so, but he is a 65yr old canadian vet who loves to show off his veteran license plate.

Right now, that guy is golden. He has the pension, but he refused to go home, and shut out the apprentice who has a kid in the oven so to speak.

I am disgusted by that. But then my mother tried to reason with me, she said you cant save them all.

My mind finds that callous, and I would have given two days a week off to save the young buck, give him a chance to get off and running. So, maybe my mom is right, and I am taking this to personally, but if I was that vet right now, when I go into work tomorrow, he aint going to get any f help from me at all.

end of rant, better news to follow, I just needed to vent that, and yeas, again, my mom to rescue, she said write all that down with the guys you enjoy on BAT, it will help you to calm down. So, there it is.

What war was he in if 65 years old? Would be 18 years old in 1973, about a years training, war in Viet Nam was over, that was a BS war our troops were severely limited in what they could do. Younger brothers were drafted, but one when to South Korea other to Germany.

I was drafted in 1957 had two choices either join or go to prison, I served for six years was like being in prison, but least could walk around outside of a cage. Also a vet, don't brag about it. Cuban crisis, ha, when Khrushchev heard I was in, he backed off. When I applied for GI benefits for college was told my records were burnt in St. Louis, no problem, I have all the original records, they don't count, no benefits.

But college was only 4 bucks a credit hour back then, 20 credit hours was 80 bucks, brand new books were a buck a piece, so no problem going for 180 bucks a year, my youngest daughter cost us $25,000.00 per year and only $4,000.00 of it was income tax deductible.

I finally got my VA benefits, but since I have a couple of bucks in the bank have to pay a stiff co-payment. If I gambled all my money away, got drunk, and purchased dope, would be free. This is socialism which was the exact reason why I was drafted.

Tomorrow is my last day of home quarantine after confessing to a trip to the USA. Was supposed to get a test but as the Covid-19 crisis exploded my priority in the que declined. So I'll be free and clear to party but no where to go since all but non-essential businesses and activities are shut down.
I hear that if you use 4 pieces of toilet paper the rating is 85.25 for those of you who have not filled the garage with cartons of masks and other PPE.

The existing draft law was expiring at the end of June 1971, but the Department of Defense and Nixon administration decided the draft needed to continue for at least some time. In February 1971, the administration requested of Congress a two-year extension of the draft, to June 1973.

None that I know of. But says he a vet cause he was in army up here. I guess I should say thx. ;) He volunteered, did basic, never ever saw combat, did his bit, got paid, and still is getting paid for having learned how to drive a truck.

That is the essence of his war stories.

But, again, my mom says I am to invested in this guy as a cell phone prick who probably forgot what honor really is.

But sure likes his flashy license plate.

Shyte I hate lay ppl like that.

Sure have a lot of people being laid off here, large health insurance company, parking lot is empty as are the dental clinics, restaurants, bars, bowling allies. Some grocery stores are still opened but reduced hours., All 68 churches in town are closed, but still can pray at home.

Have a huge clinic in town, just dealing with emergnecy cases, huge parking lot is near empty.

Same here. it is normal, ppl who dont need to be outside or at work, just stay home and cook or clean or game or pray.

I just go to work first off cuz I have to pay bills, and second, I AM at work only because we fix special vehicles. Such as all first responder vehicles, and those also included undercover, phantoms and identity.

I used to ambulances and firetrucks, thats how I got approved for first responder license.

Anyway, folks, if you dont need toilette paper or other, stop f ing paranoing, dont throw a party unless it is in your head with a blunt or a few beers. Keep it simple.

So, as usual,

Blunt equals a spliff
