Hi Buddy,
I have a Honda civic sedan 1993 model with sentimental value.
The car couldn't start after parking. After 10- 12 hours it starts and run smoothly.
This incident happened twice within two weeks.
With out going into much details how can you differntiate whether it has a problem of fuel pump or filter?
I very much appreciate your views in this regards

Glad to see you guys get the new board. I've been *trying* to read the old list for several years and it's came in pretty helpful more than once. Looking forward to being an active member of this board.

Car with the most memories,
It's hands down my 75 olds cutlass supreme I had. I wanted a 69 mustang that I was looking at on a local lot and took dad up to show it to him. The interior on the stang was basically gutted and the antifreeze had oil in it but being 16 I wanted that stang so bad I could taste it. I didn't care what kinda shape it was in. After dad finally convinced me the car was a junker we went and looked at a 75 cutlass. It was like a grandpa's car in my mind. He talked me into getting that one. The guy wanted $1200 for it and I had $600 in cash and he let me make payments on it. My dad taught me how to work on cars with that car. It never really had any major stuff wrong with it. Leaky valve covers, fuel pump, alternator, and minor stuff like that but it did get me started working on cars. I remember I put duals on it and white letter tires. It was a pretty decent car. I had the car for many years and when I got rid of it the car had 180k miles on the original motor and still ran like brand new. I could reach in through the window first thing in the morning and fire it up without ever having to touch the gas pedal. The young kids probably don't remember the old carb days when you would have to pump the pedal to get them to fire up sometimes. :D

My 1st car was a 1968 dodge cornet 440 forest green with a 383 and 724 trans.
I was only 13 but any chance I got me and my friends would push it down the street and off we would go.
The nice thing about living in a small town only one out of two local cop would mess with me so I had to wait till I was 18 to drive legally.

66 OLDS, F-85 with a 330 8 cyl.
Grandparents bought it new, passed to my paren ts 10 yrs later, then to me 5 yrs later.
Got rusted bad in NJ, but ran great, and did great in the snow with a barbell in the trunk!

I like your story. . . . . I'm new here. . . and a new grandpa to boot.

My story was a 65 mustang fastback (my first car) bought it with the transmission in the back seat, all beat up and rusty. From an old lady who's husband had just passed (RIP). I fixed it all up and painted it white with the black shelby stripes from front to back. One day my friend and I went to see "Amityville Horror", I think that's how you spell it, and on the way out we were driving in my stang down a small two lane super dark road, it was lightly raining and the streets were slick, when suddenly a black cat stood on it's hind legs, (by the way, i love animals ok) and hissed at the car coming and it's eyes looked evil and bright red. My friend and I both screamed and my foot went full throttle then I hit the cat, slammed on the brakes and skidded for eternity it seemed. LOL. We came to rest approximatley 2 feet from an embankment into a canal, very lucky. Anyway that's all. Hope you laughed a little.
BY the way: I'm interested in an obd 1 & 2 but don't know which one to buy. . . . I'm working on cars at home for work friends and stuff, any suggestions. THANKS! ???
