However, I am confused. In your original post you say "But he says motor is done." Why are you looking to replace the pump?
To reply to this, my french probably got in the way. His way of saying was it dont shoot air.

I hate sounding like this, and sometimes, I can be very condescending.

I know, for a fact, if that electric drive is going, and no pressure coming out, and no oil in thing, needs a new head unit.

What my x ray vision does see, is neglect.

Ah, Nick... I was trying to help you, not annoy you! I get it. You have cold and rust but no eco-Nazis. You can dump things anywhere and they will rust away or become encased in an ice-cube. I envy you that freedom, but not the cold.

I still think that Licota compressor should be opened up, unless $500 is an insignificant expense (I envy that, too). Small compressors like this are lightly loaded, often just splash lube. The lack of oil in the sight gauge does not mean it is ruined beyond repair. I have repaired several (many?) small engines and compressors with seized main bearings, seized pistons, seized/broken rods, etc. Generally they can be saved with no parts needed, just some skillful effort. Point is, they are so easy to disassemble, why not take a peek?

Cute, thx Bill, I thought my comments may have offended you. But I see you got the gist of my lame attempt at humour.

I will open it up soon, and also provide pics of what I find.

I usually never open these jobs, because most times that I have dived into these things, cant find parts readily available and more time consuming than what it is worth.

However, what I will do is try to detail as much as I can, and if anybody here see something I dont, plz show up. I love learning.

Yeah, you wont find many eco nazis up here. ;)

As for gaskets and stuff, I usually make my own.

While my gf was sleeping, I took time to watch this turkish guy restore a similar model, very impressed with his workmanship and attention to detail.

The video is quite long and bores the heck out my gf, but for those who like to watch ppl do a good job, I was impressed.

I am not in any rush, the car wont be ready for paint before spring/summer.

Yeah, I ordered a new pump, some chink thing off amazon.

I will post pictures of what I found, which was nothing. No reason this unit is not pumping, Only thing I see is a pristine unit, reed valves not broken and stainless to boot.

Pistons and rings all good, no rings broken, and I am at a loss as to why it dont pump.

So I bite the bullet, and bought a 3hp v twin job. 200$ on prime. should arrive around the 12 feb.

Right now, I can't post pics of dang thing apart, cuz they are in my scanner. I use to take pictures sometimes, but I assure you bill, all the guys at shop dont understand. We all took a gander at it, and could find nothing wrong with it.

Anyway, 8.8cfm, which is what I want to paint this stang job with a lvlp gun.

Here is what I ordered as a replacement, if it tuffs the paint job, I am one lucky sucker.
