Hi so I just bought this car last week for $800 but now it’s kicking out codes and miss firing which I’ll have to do a tune up but I was wondering if it would even be work it or are these codes gonna cost me more than I just paid for the car thanks

Is this going to be a DIY job? If not, a visit to a shop for any kind of problem could cost more than that $800.

Assuming is is DIY, take compression readings. That can tell if the basic (and expensive) engine-innards are poor. If compression is good, then take off the EGR valve an check it for crud and see if the pintle moves OK. Do you have (or will get) a scanner capable of showing live-data?

First thing is to change the plugs and wires. Still have a miss? Need to fix this SOON or you'll be needing a new cat.
On second thought unplug the MAF and see how it runs.
