Friends,

I recently had my belts replaced on my 2003 Sonata 4cyl. (maintenance - nothing broke)
The work was done by a local garage.

As soon as I drove away, and for the last week, I can feel slight to moderate vibration at 2700 rpms and above. The car changes gears around 3000 rpms, so the vibration is felt right before it changes gears and when driving on the highway at speeds which put me over 27oo rpms.

Could this be related to the work from the garage? The engine and transmission feel fine, and there is no performance lost at all - just this vibration that was not there before.

Thanks!

Can you make the vibration at 3000RPM in Park, if yes, then have someone hold the RPMs up and you inspect the pulleys for motion, other than that, I do not know. It must be related to the work that was done.

Timing Belt? or regular drive belts?
Give the folks that did the work a chance to make it right for you.
